2-3-26   THOUGHTS

What a marvelous reading we have this morning.  Christ IS ALL, and IN ALL!  We are created in God’s IMAGE, and the new self strives to know fully, what that image is!  Verses 12-14 give us a powerful list.  The PEACE OF CHRIST, is to rule in our thankful hearts.  We must not miss the ONE BODY idea that comes from God for our benefit!  Eph 4:16  “from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”

Col 3:10-15    and have put on the new self  who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him —   11  a renewal in which there is no distinction  between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and  freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.   12   So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;  13  bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14  Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15  Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.  

Our Prayer:
Father, help us show Your Image to our world.  May we be putting on our new self, daily,  and stretching toward a true knowledge of You.  With Christ controlling our lives, help us to imitate the characteristics we read of here.  May the peace of Christ rule in our hearts.  May we thrive in Your Church and as Your Church.  Make us thankful in all.  We praise and love You.  In the name of Jesus,    Amen.
